The Brown Act, also referred to as “The Sunshine Law,” requires local government business to be conducted at open and public meetings.

This training on the Brown Act will ensure that city officials, city staff, and everyone in our community is familiar with the law. It requires government agencies, such as Amador City Council, to follow rules to ensure that government is conducted properly, that the public is informed, and that the public has an opportunity to comment.

Join councilmembers of Amador City and the city staff at the Brown Act Training this Thursday.
